Lisa Gonzalez Moore grew up in Tampa, Florida, after her family immigrated to the United States from Cuba. She is a mom to four amazing children ages 23 to 13, a wife, small business owner, and a real estate attorney.
Lisa and her husband, Fred, moved to the Sarasota/Bradenton area in 2000 and have been residents of Ward 4 for over 16 years. Their family loves to explore the myriad of ways to connect with their community. From acting in the Manatee Historical Village's "Spirit Voices of Manatee;" volunteering for the Manatee County Library Foundation, the planning committee for the Snooty Gala benefiting The Bishop Museum, the children’s local schools, and other local non-profits, the Moore family is always eager to roll up their sleeves and pitch in.
Lisa is Hard at Work for Bradenton
In her capacity as City Councilperson, Lisa is currently serving as the Secretary/Treasurer of the Tampa Bay Regional Planning Council, a regional, inter-governmental body dedicated to planning and education of member governments in areas such as sustainable planning, weather hardening, and economic redevelopment.
Lisa is also serving as the Vice President of the Manasota League of Cities, a branch of the Florida League of Cities and a board composed of all of the Manatee County municipalities that acts to educate one another on issues that face the Cities within Manatee County, foster relationships with state and federal legislators, and engage in advocacy on behalf of member Cities. Lisa was honored to be awarded the Florida League of Cities' Home Rule Hero Award in 2024 for her advocacy on behalf of Bradenton.
